Melanie was a dental hygienist for 15 years and after having a third child she decided the clinic schedule was no longer going to work with her lifestyle with three young children and decided to give up my registration in Alberta. Her husband is a Carpenter and they have been renovating homes together since 2008 and have always loved Interior Design/working with fabrics. Melanie’s Mother was in the field and had a home based design business growing up which exposed her to all of the beauty that can be created with fabric.

Melanie went back to University in January 2019 to pursue Interior Design and simultaneously decided to start her own pillow business from my home. Initially their company was called “Pom Pillows” and launched in early 2019. They made all of their own pillows and most of the designs had removable pom poms on the fronts that could be interchanged for different colours. Sort of like a mood ring but in pillow form. They still to this day stock 17 pom pom colours that you can purchase and change on your pillow fronts whenever you feel like changing up the look of your décor. The poms are all vegan and made of a finely spun polyester fibre.
